In terms of the laser physics of each laser, they all work by emitting energy in the form of electromagnetic waves, which are absorbed by specific molecules in the skin. The absorbed energy is then converted into heat, which can be used to destroy unwanted tissue or stimulate the production of collagen.

The pathogenesis of acne involves the production of excess sebum (oil) by the sebaceous glands, which can lead to the blockage of hair follicles. This blockage can cause the growth of P. acnes bacteria, which can lead to inflammation and the formation of pimples, whiteheads, blackheads, and cysts.
