Cosmetic treatments these days are very common, and many include lasers, injections, radiofrequency, freezing etc. Fortunately, many of these procedures are becoming more minimally invasive, requiring less downtime and lower chances of bruising. However, the reality of cosmetic surgery is that with any procedure, there is always a chance of bruising.
Most of our patients understand that there is a chance of bruising with procedures. However, everyone generally wants to get back in action as soon as possible without revealing to the entire world that they had work done! So what is the solution to remove bruises fast? How can bruises be removed quickly and effectively?

How Do Bruises Form?
The science behind the treament is quite simple. Bruising is caused by rupture of blood vessels in the skin. Normally, our blood flows in blood vessels known as arteries and veins. However, during procedures, the blood vessels may be ruptured, either by needles, cutting, local trauma or even by lasers. When this happens, blood escapes into the soft spaces outside of blood vessels. These blood cells get trapped under the skin resulting in a purplish discoloration known as a bruise. The only way that these cells can be removed, is to wait for them to naturally break down. The body will then reabsorb the components of the blood cells. This process of breaking down blood cells in a bruise takes about 1-2 weeks in total. After the blood cells are broken down, the breakdown products of the bruise are gradually reabsorbed by the body.
Fast Bruise Removal Within 24 hours
So how do we remove a bruise faster? Using a pulse dye laser known as the V-Beam Perfecta, we are able to break down the blood cells in the bruise. The laser works because the special wavelength of the laser is especially well absorbed by red blood cells. This causes them to be broken down rapidly when the correct laser is shone on them. This reduces the breakdown time from one week to just one day! If you have important engagements like meetings, presentations and weddings, fast bruise removal can be a life-saver!
Can Bruises from Non-Cosmetic Procedures Be Treated?
The answer is yes. All kinds of bruises, whether it be from falling, accidents or fighting etc can also be treated.
Bilateral Knee Bruises from Falling
How Many Sessions of Fast Bruise Removal Treatment are Needed?
Depending on the severity of the bruise, multiple sessions may be needed. Because the laser can only treat bruises that are directly under the skin, severe bruising may need more sessions to be completely treated. This is because when there is a large depot of blood below the skin, it takes longer to remove the blood.
Almost all kinds of bruising will respond to our laser treatment.
