What is INFINI Acne Scar Treatment?

The entire process is very simple. The first step involves the use of our specially formulated numbing cream to reduce any pain and discomfort felt during the treatment. Once the cream has fully set in, the doctor will proceed to start the session, administering multiple passes on targeted areas on the face one after the other. The entire treatment will take roughly 20 minutes to complete. Depending on the severity of the scarring and thickness of your skin – our experienced doctors will select the most ideal depth to treat the area. We typically use very high energy levels that earn more results per treatment – balancing this with optimum downtime and lowering the risk of complications. The treatment can be slightly painful without the appropriate pain management – at The Clifford Clinic, we have devised methods for reducing the pain factor for our patients so that the journey to a smooth, flawless face is made a comfortable one.

After the treatment, patients can expect to suffer redness for anywhere between 1 – 5 days. Depending on your needs, we can adjust the downtime based on your preferences; however, it should be noted that a longer downtime usually implies more energy being used during the treatment – which often equates to better results. Depending on what INFINI is treating, the downtime will differ. In the case of lifting and wrinkles, the downtime is typically 1 – 2 days. For acne scar treatments, we usually aim for a downtime of about 3 – 5 days. 99% of patients will not experience any scabbing on the face. Most of our patients prefer to have their sessions done on a Friday so that they are able to rest and recover over the weekend. For that reason, our Friday evenings are usually very packed, so do expect a slightly longer waiting time during this time period.

After INFINI, your skin is much more sensitive to sunlight. In order to prevent patchy hyperpigmentation spots from developing, ensure that you are wearing the appropriate sunblock, or bring along a cap or umbrella every time you head outdoors. Even sitting by a window, alfresco cafe, or driving can expose you to a lot of indirect sunlight.
