Hair loss remedies
Hair loss is a very difficult problem to fix as the reason for it varies greatly among individuals. Have you spent a bomb on traditional remedies or getting a package at hair loss treatment clinics, which include tonics and special shampoos, with little or no improvement? The problem with traditional remedies is it is a trial and error solution. The same treatment might work well for some, but it may not work for another individual as every patient is unique. Furthermore, treatments require constant use of their products – resulting in a costly long-term investment for something that isn’t permanent.

Causes of hair loss
Hair loss can be attributed to many different causes. Although a normal person loses around 50-100 strands of hair a day, there can be many reasons why one would lose more than than usual. Things that interfere with the hair cycle could be – medication, illness, infection or chemicals.
Other reasons for hairloss could be genetics, and follows the patient’s mother, aunts or grandmothers. Menopause, physical trauma, or intense illness can also contribute to hair thinning and falling.
Men’s hair tends to recede from the forehead or the crown of the head, while women tend to notice thinning on the top third to half of the scalp. Women may notice their parting gradually becoming wider and more of their scalp can be seen when the hair is pulled back.

However, hairs on the back of the head usually stay throughout your whole lifetime!
ARTAS Robotic Hair Transplant – the permanent solution to balding
Male balding pattern is known to be caused by Di-Hydro-Testosterone (DHT), and the hairs on the crown and temples are more susceptible to DHT than the hairs at the back of the head. This is the essential concept behind hair transplant technologies whereby the thicker hair on the other parts of the head are transplanted to the bald areas. Furthermore, the newly transplanted hairs are resistant to DHT, therefore making it a permanent solution to the balding problem.
The ARTAS platform was developed in the US for automated hair transplantation. The machine makes use of an advanced technique called Robotic Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) which extracts hairs from other parts of the patient’s head and implants it in a problem area.

It is to be expected that the hair will not grow immediately after the procedure. After 4 weeks, you can expect to see initial growth but also expect the hair grafts to gradually shed off after that time. This is the natural process of transplanted hair grafts. The hair will start growing back after 3-4 months slowly. After 3-4 months, a patient usually sees 10% more hair in succeeding months, until full coverage. The final results can be expected after a year.
The results from Finasteride and Minoxidil is limited at most, and will not grow all of your hair back. Most of the time, they tend to fall short of expectations. At most, it seems to aid in slowing down hair loss. However, if used as a complement with hair transplant – it is an ideal enhancement for the results of hair transplantation.
Not at all! With ARTAS Hair Transplant, scars are minimal, resulting in a subtle appearance that won’t leave friends suspecting that you’ve had a hair transplant. The gradual growth of new hairs also helps in preventing a drastic change which will lead others to suspect you’ve had a treatment done.
Yes! The results from ARTAS Hair Transplant are long lasting and permanent – which explains the high cost. But it is definitely a better investment compared to the other expensive traditional remedies which do not guarantee success.
