Rejuran Healer vs Profhilo: Which Is The Ideal Treatment?

Rejuran Healer vs Profhilo: Which Is The Ideal Treatment?

Rejuran Healer vs Profhilo: Which Is The Ideal Treatment?

Sometimes, skincare products may not give you the youthful glow that you desire. In this case, you may consider something such as skin injectables. At Clifford Clinic, we provide two trending injectable treatments, Profhilo and Rejuran Healer. Both treatments are incredible at giving your skin that supple look by promoting skin healing and collagen synthesis.

However, although they may give similar results, there are still differences many may not be aware of. To help you decide which treatment suits you better, we have laid out information on both treatments and their differences.

What is Profhilo?

Profhilo is an injectable skin remodelling treatment that contains an immense concentration of hyaluronic acid. To recap, hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in our bodies, especially the skin. It is crucial for healing wounds and regenerating skin, making it ideal as a skin injectable.

Hyaluronic acid has the following advantages:

  • As a natural substance found in the skin, it’s safe to use as an injectable, and our bodies will not have any adverse reactions.
  • Since it’s a vital agent in healing wounds and regenerating skin, it is key to counteracting its natural ageing process.
  • Hyaluronic acid is also thick, so it will not disperse very far from the injection point.

What is more, Profhilo stimulates collagen and elastin production to improve skin tone, hydration, and fine lines. This improves skin quality that can last up to half a year and makes Profhilo ideal for people whose skin lacks volume or elasticity.

How does Profhilo work?

Since Profhilo mainly contains hyaluronic acid and hyaluronic acid is hydrophilic, Profhilo acts as a hydrator to draw and retain water from your body. Although Profhilo can be administered in more than one way, it’s most effective when the method is specially designed.

This protocol will involve injecting 0.2ml of Profhilo into 10 designated Bio-Aesthetic Points all over the face. The Bio-Aesthetic Points are selected based on the current facial muscles, bones, and skin structure of the face. Hence, the treatment can vary depending on the patient’s needs.

When injected, the hyaluronic acid will naturally diffuse over several days to weeks to stimulate collagen and elastin production through enhanced hydration at the treatment area. This makes it ideal for those with tired, dull-looking skin and turns it into a firm and glowing condition. You will be able to see the effect within 3 to 5 days after the treatment.

What is Rejuran Healer?

A treatment from South Korea, it’s an HSA-approved treatment that can repair damaged skin, hence reversing signs of ageing. Unlike Profhilo, which contains hyaluronic acid, Rejuran Healer consists of biological molecules known as polydeoxyribonucleotide (Salmon DNA) and polynucleotides.

These molecules are the essential elements to keeping our skin lively and vibrant. In particular, a study revealed that using Salmon DNA on the skin will improve its elasticity, hydration and texture. Moreover, it provides significant protection from UV damage.

Other benefits of Rejuran include:

  • Increase skin elasticity
  • Increase skin hydration
  • Reducing fine lines and wrinkles
  • Repair the skin and balancing oil production
  • Skin tone and texture improvement
  • Boosting overall skin health

This makes Rejuran ideal for fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars, enlarged pores, loose skin, and even dark circles.

How does Rejuran Healer work?

Usually, before the procedure, the doctor will clean the treatment and apply the topical numbing cream to lessen the pain of the injection to the point that it is almost painless. The doctor will then carefully inject the Rejuran Healer through a fine needle or an injection gun at the surface skin layer.

The doctors usually prefer manual injections because none of the substances will leak during the procedure. Moreover, manual injections have shorter downtime.

When the Rejuran is delivered, it triggers the renewing of cells to stimulate regenerative processes and reduce inflammation. This treatment can be used on the forehead, temples, cheek, chin, and neck. It’s ideal for those with visible effects of ageing skin or even in combination with laser acne scar removal.

To further enhance results and recovery, LED light therapy will usually follow.

Renew your skin’s youthful glow @ The Clifford Clinic

At our aesthetic clinic, we offer Profhilo, which allows for low-molecular hyaluronic acid and high-molecular hyaluronic acid to form a stable bond without the need of any chemical stabilisers through patented NAHYCO™ thermal complexing technology. This allows the treatment to last longer in the skin.

We also offer Rejuran Healer treatments such as Rejuran HB; a mix of polydeoxyribonucleotide and hyaluronic acid, which is ideal for hydration collagen production.

Other Rejuran healer treatments include Rejuran S, which helps improve depressed acne scars. Usually, we will combine fractional CO2 or INFINI RF to alleviate the inflammation that may follow and achieve better results.

The best treatment is the treatment that can work deep into the skin layer because some of the skin problems originate from below the surface.

If you are interested in either of the treatments, you are welcome to consult our aesthetic doctors at The Clifford Clinic. They will review your case and make a treatment plan that is suited only for you – contact us to book your appointment today.
