Your hairline is receding, your scalp is thinning, and you really need to do something about it. But you’ve no time to spare. Meetings, sales presentations, work, play. Our No Downtime Hair Transplant technique is the solution! In our many years of performing hair transplants in Singapore, the most common obstacle to definitive treatment of hair loss, is DOWNTIME. Let’s face it. Nobody wants to show up in the office a few days after a hair transplant looking like a North Korean dictator. And neither did I.
How It All Happened
As a long time sufferer of hair loss, I have slowly watched my hairline get higher and higher over the years. With daily serums, creams, treatments etc, it all didn’t work. I knew that I needed to have a hair transplant someday. Being a busy doctor, I just didn’t have the time to take a week off from work just to recover from a hair transplant. Even if I did have a week off, I would much rather be skiing, soaking up the sun in some Bali beach, or just vegetating at home. Which is why I developed the No Downtime Hair Transplant technique.
What is the No Downtime Hair Transplant?
Combining our experience in performing hair transplants, with knowledge of robotics, technology and styling. The No Downtime Hair Transplant is a revolutionary way of performing hair restoration for mild to moderate hair loss. It involves extraction of good donor hairs from the back of the head, and planting them to the balding spots on the front of the head. All this is done strategically, so that the patient can go back to work literally the next day. Hence, the name: No Downtime Hair Transplant! I need to be perfectly honest here. No Downtime Hair Transplantation is not for those with a huge shiny spot on the top of your head. For those poor lads, you will need a proper, full hair transplant, which will involve some downtime. However if you’re like me, with a M-shaped hairline and receding in the temples, or thinning of the scalp, then this technique is for you.
How Do We Perform No Downtime Hair Transplant?
The No Downtime Hair Transplant involves highly strategic extraction of donor hair follicles. We employ the FUE (follicular unit extraction) technique to get hairs one by one, without excessive shaving of the hairs on the back of the head. These hairs are harvested from the back of the head, where the hairs are more resistant to dropping. Our technique ensures that there is minimal shaving of the hair on the back of the head. This means the donor site is well concealed. In the second stage of the procedure, hairs are planted into the front of the hairline We use very strategic placement in so that new grafts are concealed by the existing hairstyle. Using this technique, we can really minimize the appearance of the new grafts. This allows you to get back to work the next day, without raising any eyebrows.
What is FUE (Follicular Unit Extraction)?
Follicular Unit Extraction is the latest technique for hair transplant graft harvesting. Hair grafts are harvested one by one, in a very precise manner to extract the roots of the hairs from the donor site. Each follicular unit consists of an average of 2-2.5 hairs. So a 1000 graft case moving 1000 follicular units will yield on average about 2000-2500 new hairs in the new area.
