Nucleofill

Nucleofill: A Bio-stimulating Treatment That Hydrates, Antioxidizes and Promotes Skin Renewal

What is Nucleofill?

Nucleofill is a polynucleotide-based injectable bio-stimulant that stimulates the production of collagen and elastin in the skin’s dermis; Nucleofill reverses the effects of aging via promoting bio-regeneration to rejuvenate skin and combat skin laxity.

Nucleofill is a biostimulator

Biostimulators are bio-compatible (compatible with the human body) synthetic materials that stimulate fibroblasts (collagen producing cells) in the dermis to increase collogen and elastin production, tightening and lifting the skin.

Biostimulators, like Nucleofill, are commonly used as aesthetic injectables for treating problems associated with aging such as sagging due to loss of skin structure and elasticity, fine lines, wrinkles, and/or loss of skin hydration. In addition to treating the symptoms of aging, Nucleofill is a versatile treatment that can also be used for:

  • Correcting skin dehydration and asphyxiation
  • Alleviating oxidative stress in the skin
  • Treating scars (eg. chickenpox or acne scar treatment)
  • Treating stretch marks

Lift, antioxidize and hydrate

Nucleofill is a triple-action anti-ageing treatment that rebuilds the skin using bio-stimulation; Bio-remodelling of the skin by Nucleofill is achieved at three levels:

  1. Lifting by encouraging fibroblast activity
  2. Antioxidant effect that neutralizes harmful free radicals in the skin
  3. Hydration by binding to water molecules at the cellular level

Lifting

The polynucleotides present in Nucleofill are bio-engineered to stimulate receptors found on the surface of fibroblast cells in the skin’s dermis. Stimulation of these cell receptors triggers the activation of fibroblasts into type I collagen and elastin producing myofibroblast cells, which in turn firms and lifts the skin to reduce sagging and smoothen out wrinkles.

Restructuring of the dermal matrix via new collagen and elastin production ensures that the root cause of skin laxity is addressed, allowing for long-lasting and deep rejuvenation of the skin.

Antioxidant effect

Free radicals damage and break down cells over time; damaged collagen fibres and skin cells can cause deterioration in the structure and appearance of the skin, leading to loss of skin elasticity, formation of wrinkles, or a change in skin texture.

Nucleofill removes free radicals by acting as a free radical scavenger; the strong antioxidant effect of Nucleofill allows it to protect collagen fibres, newly rejuvenated skin, and the skin’s epidermis from further damage by free radicals.

Hydrating

Polynucleotides are the main ingredient of Nucleofill and have a high affinity for binding with water. The binding of polynucleotides to water molecules in the dermal matrix allows for deep and lasting hydration as well as hydrolifting of the skin, giving the skin a firm and moisturized feel.

FAQ

No, Nucleofill is not a filler. Unlike injectable fillers that contain hyaluronic acid, Nucleofill is a bio-stimulant that stimulates the activation of fibroblasts to induce increased collogen and elastin production.

Traditional fillers are able to hydrate and increase the “bulk” or volume of the skin but may be unsuitable for individuals with water retention problems, or unsuitable for use on certain parts of the face that are more likely to be affected by water retention or where adding significant “bulk” is undesirable (eg. The thin skin around the eyes).

Biostimulators like Nucleofill are thus considered preferable for individuals seeking to rejuvenating and hydrate the skin without risking excessive water retention or adding significant volume to the treatment area.

Nucleofill is compatible with the use of dermal fillers and can be used as a complement to volumizing treatments for better results.

The main ingredient in Profhilo is pure concentrated hyaluronic acid while Nucleofill is a bio-stimulant gel made from polynucleotides.

Hyaluronic acid (HA) is a naturally occurring compound found in skin, muscle, and joins. The ability of HA to readily bind to water molecules, HA being able to draw up to 1000 times its weight in water, makes Profhilo ideal for providing excellent hydration to the skin. The high concentration of pure HA in Profhilo is also able to encourage bio-remodelling via inducing the body’s natural healing response to increase collagen and elastin by stimulating fibroblast cells, improving the skin’s structure, elasticity, and firmness; giving the skin a plump and dewy look.

While Nucleofill is also able to bind to water to provide deep hydration to the skin, Nucleofill does not draw in as much water as Profhilo. Thus, Nucleofill may be more suitable for areas of the face with thinner skin where excessive water retention is undesirable.

Unlike Profhilo, Nucleofill is a bio-stimulant capable of activating fibroblast cells into type I collagen and elastin producing myofibroblasts by directly stimulates specific receptors on the fibroblast cells, achieving bio-regeneration and rejuvenation of the skin due to the sustained and increased production of collogen by myofibroblasts. Results for Nucleofill also typically last longer than Profhilo.

These two treatments are compatible with each other and can be combined for better results.

After a detailed consultation with our doctors at The Clifford Clinic, a layer of numbing cream will be applied onto the area for 30 minutes prior to the injections.

5 to 7 injection points, depending on if a 5 point technique or 7 point technique is used, will be marked out on each side of the face to allow Nucleofill to be injected into the dermal matrix.

Nucleofill is suitable for anyone who is

  • looking for a long-lasting anti-aging treatment
  • looking for acne treatment in Singapore
  • has dry or dull skin
  • bothered by visible stretch marks on their skin
  • Firmer and youthful looking skin
  • Improved skin elasticity and reduced sagging
  • Increased collagen production for sustained skin firmness
  • Improvements in the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles

Topical aesthetic cream will be applied to numb the treatment area prior to the procedure.

It is recommended to undergo a series of 3-4 treatments every 2-4 weeks for best results.

Results are expected to last up to 1-2 years.

  • Pregnant or breastfeeding individuals
  • Patients with underlying autoimmune diseases or coagulation disorders

Each syringe of Nucleofill contains 2mls of the product.
